Ms. Jamie grew up in Miami, FL. She received a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Appalachian State University before going on to graduate school at Washington University in St. Louis, where she completed master’s degrees in public health and social work. Ms. Jamie then worked for ten years managing global health research projects around the world. She was fortunate to live and work in such countries as Haiti, Sierra Leone, and Burkina Faso. Throughout her travels, Ms. Jamie became passionate about preventative healthcare, and returned to school to complete a Master of Science in Nursing at Emory University.
