Shveta Raju, MD, DABOM

Dr. Shveta Raju, MD, MBA is a Double Board-Certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician. Dr. Raju is an experienced clinician who has been serving patients in North Fulton and Gwinnett County for over a decade. She has broad knowledge in all aspects of primary care, women’s health, and metabolic disease with a specific passion and expertise in nutrition and fitness. Dr. Raju experienced the benefits of CrossFit and healthy nutrition in her own life starting in 2017. She is passionate about improving the mental, physical, and metabolic health of her patients and community and currently completing a fellowship in Obesity Medicine with a special interest in Weight Management across the lifespan. Dr. Raju has also completed her CrossFit Level 2 Certification (2023) and Precision Level 1 Coach Certification (2022). Dr. Raju currently lives in northeast Atlanta with her husband and two wonderful children.

Born in Augusta and raised in Gwinnett County, Dr. Raju was valedictorian of her high school class at Greater Atlanta Christian School in Norcross. She attended Emory College where she graduated with highest honors in Anthropology and Biology as a part of the Emory Scholars program. After earning her MD and MBA at Emory as a Woodruff Scholar, Dr. Raju completed her Internal Medicine residency at the Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) in the Primary Care track. In addition to her clinical practice, she teaches medical students from the Medical College of Georgia for their fourth-year Internal Medicine rotation.

I became a doctor: to help my patients stay healthy and recover quickly from illness.
