Dr. Kwende completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Major in Biology, concentrations in Immunology and Microbiology, and a Minor in French. She graduated cum laude and went on to complete medical school at New York Medical College. She recently finished her Family Medicine residency at Duke/Southern Regional AHEC in Fayetteville, NC and relocated to Georgia. She is comfortable seeing all ages and aspects of primary care with a strong interest in women’s health. As a medical student, resident and now as a practicing physician, Dr. Kwende has been involved in various community organizations and has taken on leadership roles that helped her develop her skills and desire to have a positive impact on society.

I became a doctor: to be an avenue for people to achieve their health goals based on their personal and cultural values in conjunction with adequate information.
I enjoy taking care of patients at Gwinnett Clinic because: of the diversity that the patients present and the opportunity to provide them with access to high-quality and equitable care.
